About The Tournament

The UNITED POLISH AMERICAN GOLF CLUB is proud to announce that a new POLONIA golf tournament has been scheduled the week of February 23th - 28th, 2015 at the world famous PALM BEACH POLO GOLF CLUB and the TESORO GOLF CLUB in South Florida.

Official Sign Up will take place on Wednesday February 25th at the Palm Beach Polo Club's Club House with the short reception that will follow. Complimentary food for all participants. Light music in the background.

This will be a 3 day, individual Stroke Play tournament with 18 holes played daily. Official start of round # 1 is Thursday, Feb. 26th, concluding on Saturday, Feb. 28th, 2015.

Closing Ceremony will take place on Saturday  evening February 28th at the newly renovated Banquet Room of the Palm Beach Polo Club's Tennis Facility.

ENTRY FEE: Players $525.00   Guest:$75.00

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:

1) POLONIA WORLD CUP will be played under USGA Rules

2) There will be 3 separate MEN'S Divisions and a LADIES Division

MEN'S : CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION  - POLONIA DIVISION & MASTERS DIVISION

1) SCORING FORMAT: GROSS SCORES ONLY.

Entry into each Men's division will be based on the Player's Handicap Index
Each Men's Division will play from their own designated Tee boxes

PROJECTED MEN'S DIVISION:

CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION: 4 - 12 HANDICAP - BLUE TEES - APPROX. YARDS: 6,500 -  METERS: 5,850
POLONIA DIVISION: 13 -19 HANDICAP - MIDDLE TEES - APPROX. YARDS: 6,100 - METERS: 5,500
MASTERS DIVISION: 20+ HANDICAP - BLACK TEES - APPROX. YARDS: 5,900 - METERS: 5,310

LADIES DIVISION: RED TEES - APPROX YARDS: 5,600 - METERS:5,040

PRIZES AND AWARDS:

1st, 2nd & 3rd Place prizes will be awarded for each Men's & Ladies Division.
Projected 1st Place award in each Division is $750.00 based on a minimum 100 paid entries.$500.00 for 2nd Place & $250.00 for 3rd Place.
Each Division will have its own Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin prize.
Prizes for winners of Putting and Chipping contest.
Hole In One prizes

ELIGIBILITY to play in "POLONIA WORLD CUP"
 tournament is open to all amateurs golfers of Polish heritage, from around the world.
Golfers who are playing on any College or University golf team around the world are NOT eligible to play in this Tournament.
Golfers who have an Official USGA Amateur ranking status of 10,000 or lower are NOT eligible to play in this Tournament

POLONIA WORLD CUP is organized by UPAGC and will be managed by former organizers of Polonia Open, Henry Lajca, Mark Kwoka and Jakub Paszynin, who have, for over 14 years, volunteered and dedicated their time and energy to Polonia Open.  In addition, UPAGC has invited many prominent individuals from the Polish golfing community, from around the world, to serve on the Polonia World Cup Advisory Committee and Rules Committee.

We, the members of United Polish American Golf Club, are excited about this tournament and invite all of you to join us the week of February 24 at the world famous Palm Beach Polo Club and Tesoro Club in warm and sunny Florida.
